Brighton, MA – St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center and Steward Medical Group recently announced the addition of Colorectal Surgeon Deborah R. Schnipper, MD, to the medical staff. Dr. Schnipper is board certified in colon and rectal surgery and general surgery and specializes in the treatment of colorectal cancer through the use of minimally invasive surgery as well as diverticular disease, rectal prolapse, and inflammatory bowel disease.

Dr. Schnipper earned her medical degree from Boston University, after which she completed a residency in general surgery at the University of Connecticut in Farmington, Connecticut. She completed a colorectal surgery fellowship at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. Dr. Schnipper is a member of the American Medical Association, Massachusetts Medical Association, American College Surgeons, American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, Boston Surgical Society and Association of Women Surgeons.
